ICA were contracted for the automation and electrical portions of the Jones Hill Water Treatment Plant upgrade, carried out for Gympie Regional Council at its Jones Hill Water Treatment plant. Modifications to the existing Siemens S7-300 PLC, Profibus network and Citect SCADA were carried out as ICA were responsible to design and develop all PLC and Citect code to meet the functional specifications for the full automation of the upgraded 6 Filter system. ICA also carried out the full electrical installation including cable support systems, power and instrument cabling, network cabling, terminations, IO checks and testing.

All aspects of the system were successfully commissioned including electrical components, process instrumentation, alarming, reporting and site acceptance testing.
